Ex-Starz CEO Chris Albrecht Unloads $16.3 Million Pacific Palisades Estate

A little more than a year ago, veteran media executive Chris Albrecht and his third wife Tina Trahan placed their newly completed Westside compound up for sale with an $18 million price tag. They wound up dropping the ask to $16.9 million earlier this year, and now they’ve sold the East Coast traditional-style estate for $16.3 million. That’s just over the $16 million the couple doled out in an off-market deal back in late 2017 for the then-unfinished spec-mansion nestled in Pacific Palisades’ ritzy Riviera neighborhood.

Fully ensconced behind gates and towering privacy hedges on Sorrento Drive, the stately white brick home features 10,000-plus square feet of light and bright living space on two levels distinguished by skylights, soaring ceilings, hardwood flooring, designer lighting and plentiful windows throughout.

Upon entering the dwelling, a double-height entry foyer is accented by a massive crystal chandelier anchored in a recessed ceiling lined with clerestory windows. Commanding attention at the outset is a professional chef’s kitchen outfitted with top-of-the-line appliances, a breakfast nook, and a book-matched marble center island that seats six, has a sink and ample storage space, and is adorned with a trio of striking lantern pendants.

Other main-level highlights include formal living and dining rooms, and a family room sporting a fireplace flanked by built-in seating that opens seamlessly via glass sliders to an outdoor patio holding a fireplace topped by a flat-screen TV.

Standing out upstairs is the vaulted master retreat, a showpiece decked out with a cozy fireplace, designer showroom closet and spa-like bath equipped with a freestanding soaking tub and separate walk-in shower. The bedroom also offers a separate seating area, with both spaces leading to a spacious balcony overlooking the picturesque grounds.

As for the amenities, they’re definitely not lacking here. Think a lounge/game room, 15-seat movie theater and a mirror-walled gym armed with Peloton bikes, along with a temperature-controlled wine cellar that opens to a marble wet bar with seating that’s ideal for tastings.

Outdoors, the lavishly landscaped lot accommodates a flat, grassy yard, sparkling pool and spa, and guest house replete with a dishwasher and sink, plus a partially covered outdoor kitchen ideal for hosting family and friends. Rounding it all out? An elevator and a three-car garage.

A New York native, Albrecht began his professional career as a club owner and talent agent before becoming a high-profile HBO executive. In 2020, Legendary enlisted the former  president and CEO of Starz to launch Legendary Global, and he recently was tapped to take over the company’s entire TV operation. Legendary is consolidating its international (Legendary Global) and domestic TV businesses under Albrecht, who was named head of Legendary Television.

Trahan, a former socialite, is originally from the Chicago suburbs. In 2017, she spent about $16 million to purchase Stone Manor, a 40,000-square-foot mega-mansion resting on the shores of Wisconsin’s Lake Geneva.

Andreas Elsenhans of Westside Estate Agency jointly held the listing with Zac Mostame of The Agency and Marcy Roth of Douglas Elliman; Sandi Jacoby of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices California Properties repped the Milkens.
